Health Assessment Day

LINCOLN HIGH SCHOOL

With the permission of the school and parents we set up a Health Assessment day to assess Lincoln High School students' risk for chronic health conditions like asthma, obesity, hypertension, depression, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), and risky behaviors (violence, sexual activity, substance abuse). By the end of the day we had screened and given health information to over 400 students.

This "Health Assessment Day" is only the first step in a process designed to identify chronic health conditions and to bring effective health care to people who may otherwise go without care.
